Giancarlo Gonizzi

Born in Parma in 1960, after graduating in Library and Archival Sciences at Parma University, he worked as a professional in the cultural field. Journalist, consultant of companies, Foundations and public bodies, he edited and organized several exhibits, publications and events, locally and all over Italy, focusing in particular on the enhancement of enterprise, work and food production history.
He is a councellor of Museimpresa, an association gathering the cultural institutions of Italian companies, and in 1987 he was appointed manager of Barilla Historical Archive, which he had helped creating.
Among his books: Barilla: Cento anni di pubblicità e comunicazione (ed.) (1994); Parma anni Cinquanta: avvenimenti, atmosfere, personaggi (ed.) (1997) La città delle acque (1999), Verso i musei del cibo. Convegni, mostre e allestimenti museali per la Provincia di Parma (2000-2003), Barilla: centoventicinque anni di pubblicità e comunicazione (ed.) (2004). He is also the editor of various web portals. Among others: www.giuseppeverdi.it (2001) and www.museidelcibo.it (2003-2004).
